So, after my online banking stopped working, I (unwillingly) had to update firefox to 63, from 45. I *liked* 45. I had a nice lot of plugins/extensions. After the update, I found (unsurprisingly) that most of my plugins/extensions were not on the toolbar. However, I also found that Firefox appears to have removed them entirely from my system. I need to find out if they are archived somewhere, or did the install delete them. Is there any way of finding out the name of the extensions/plugins that were removed. I can't remember the exact name of the old ones, and I want to find them so that I can go back to an older version of firefox later (probably inside a VM)

Hi, we won't be able to give advice on this forum, and using a very old version of Firefox is obviously not recommended, but having said that, you might like to have a look at https://forum.palemoon.org/viewtopic.php?f=46&t=17294

Note that the above is really intended for Pale Moon and not Firefox https://www.palemoon.org/

Incidentally, if you use Flash, your version is very old so should be updated - Install Flash Player - take care to deselect any optional offers!
