Just set up a new POP account in Thunderbird, but clicking Get Messages does not check this account.

I can see on the footer off the app that the other 3 accounts send/receive as normal, also on start up - but the new account is not being checked at all.

All email accounts are set the share Inbox (global)

It does work if I manually select the new account in the Get Messages drop down or wait for Thunderbird to automatically check messages in the background.

Any ideas? Thanks

in account settings > server settings do you have Check for new messages on startup selected? What about Check for new messages and Automatically download new message?

Click the advanced button. Do you have the include this server when getting new mail checked?
