I have just updated to TB version 60.3.2 and the customized folder icons in the folder tree have vanished. I can manually re key them but when I restart TB they no longer show. How do I get my folder tree icons to reappear permanently?

How did you customize the folders? With the Color Folders add-on?

Thank you for your reply.

Each folder in the Folder Tree was customized with an icon I had downloaded eg my Amazon Folder showed the Amazon logo, my Ebay Folder showed the Ebay logo etc. This was done by right clicking the folder then selecting “ Customize Icon”. I can still do this but the icon does not show when Thunderbird is restarted.

"Customize Icon" is not part of the standard TB; it must be provided by an add-on or a userChrome.css file. Look under Tools/Add-ons/Extensions if it's an add-on and provide the name, if you can.

I have the Quickfolders add-on installed

QuickFolders does provide the Customize Icon entry in the folder context menu. Do you have the latest version 4.12.1? If you do and the icon assignments aren't retained, I suggest you contact the add-on author.

The Quickfolders author appears to be Realraven (Axel Grude) but his listed homepage is a Facebook page with an insecure connection. I am not on Facebook and can't find any other contact details. Does anyone have his email address or know how to contact him?

I have now found the contact email address for Realraven (Axel Grude).

Thank you.

Looking on the add-ons page https://addons.thunderbird.net/en-US/thunderbird/addon/quickfolders-tabbed-folders/

The support email is provided as axelg@gofree.indigo.ie and the add-on home page is given as http://quickfolders.org/index.html

Hi, I am the developer of QuickFolders. Where did you Find a facebook page? The support site quickfolders.org is hosted on quickfolders.org - there is a bug section which is a bugzilla hosted on quickfolders.mozdev.org - i would like to move the bugzilla to a secure domain but it is hard to find a free hosting site with bugzilla and a svn interface.

I meant to say the site is hosted on github.com.

Folder tree icons bug tracker:

https://www.mozdev.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=26566

For Tb60.0 I had programmed a function to refresh stored icons which is triggered 7.5 seconds after Thunderbird started. It does the same thing as the repair folder tree icons command from the tool menu (blue cogwheel or right-click on the empty area of the Quickfolders toolbar.
