Since last update all of the emails in the Trash folder are gone. Any email I delete disappears. Where are they?

I'm on Windows 10. All of the emails that were in my Trash folder have disappeared with the last Thunderbird update. Any email I delete just disappears. Can't find them. Looking for help. Thanks!

Solved my problem. Under VIEW the THREADS needs to be marked ALL. It had somehow been set to UNREAD.
