I recently had my laptop and cell phone stolen and hoping someone can assist me in trying to retrieve my Firefox bookmarks and logins. I have bought a new laptop and synced in to my Firefox account but only got back a very old profile. I have a Amazon tablet (hacked to android) and when opening Firefox I see my much more recent log files (boomarks and logins) . Is there a way to capture or sync these file back to my new laptop ? Not sure how the tablet has the recent profile stuff and it's not available with Firefox to sync ??? Any helps is greatly appreciated. Best Reagrds Snafu

Is that tablet connected to the same Firefox Account as the new laptop ?

Note that is is best to change or reset the password of the Firefox Account to clear older data and prevent getting the data on the tablet getting replaced.

You can install the About Sync extension in Firefox 72 and newer on desktop to check what data is stored on the Sync server via the about:sync page provided by this extension.

Close and restart Firefox to access the about:sync page added by this extension (see the about:about page for possible about pages).

Thank you so much for the reply- I will give this a try and won't be bashful coming back with questions if need be.

The tablet must have been linked to the desktop at some point to get the info on the tablet. Not sure to be honest. Don't recall ever syncing it. If that is the case, how is it the server only has old data ? Wouldn't the server have the same info as passed on to the tablet ? I only have one account for F.F.

When I reset the password does all of the saved profile info on the server vanish ? When a new account is made, can I then sync the tablet to the server and then back to the new desktop ?

Does the About Sync extension show that there is any recent data on the Sync server ?

Cor-el - Sorry to be very dense here- Not to geeky at my age. Concerned about losing the date should I sign into my F.F. account on the tablet and install the add-on check for the data

Or should this be on the new laptop that was recently synced ?
