want to put firefox homepage in my bookmarks

more options

I would like to add the Firefox homepage to my favorites list, but when I am on the page (get to it by clicking on the "home" button to the left of the address bar), the "star" button in the address bar is not there (usually would click on that to mark the page I am on to be bookmarked). The address bar does not show an address, so I can not add it manually. What is that address, or are there any suggestions about how I might get this done? Thank you from Linda.

Chosen solution

The address is about:home or about:newtab (I think they are the same?).

As a quicker workaround, you could try pressing the keyboard shortcut Command+D to bookmark the page. Does that work?
