HI. Firefox has been regularly crashing over the last month or two. Today it's crashed 4-5 times in 10 minutes. I tried sfc /scannow just now and there were no integrity violations. I've always submitted the crash report immediately after each event, however the last few were unsubmitted when I checked the log just now, so I've submitted them too. Firefox has always been updated to the latest version. Any ideas? Cheers Ian

In the address bar, type about:crashes<enter>. Note: If any reports do not have BP- in front of the numbers/letters, click it to submit them.

The crash report is several pages of data. We need the report numbers to see the whole report.

Using your mouse, mark the most recent 7 - 10 Submitted crash reports, and copy them. Now go to the reply box and paste them in.

Seems my last crash is way back in July, yet no reports at all since then even when it closed and reopens on its own. Seems version 81.0 is causing a problem with most AV software, as I start a scan on my end and Firefox just closes out of the blue. Firefox was fine up till 80.0 as I've been using it for over 2 years now, so something within 81.0 is what the AV is picking up on and closing Firefox without giving a crash report.

Make sure all software is up to date.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link}

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?

Just a heads up to my earlier reply in which I said I'd had no crashes in 24 hours of Safe Mode. Went here just now and had two falls: https://beebom.com/best-bookmark-managers/
