Good Day,

I am communicating with you because I need help. I cannot access my Thunderbird email.

On February 3, 2022, I logged into my EarthLink Webmail which gives me access to my Thunderbird account. When I logged in I was told I needed to reset my password. My password for Webmail is the same as it is for Thunderbird.

After resetting my Webmail password I was able to log in to my Webmail account and see my emails. However, when I attempted to log into Thunderbird, I was asked for a password. I have never needed a password to log into my Thunderbird account. the password I used did not work. And I have never been asked for a primary password. I do not have a primary password for my Thunderbird account. I have not been able to get messages in my Thunderbird email since February 3rd because I do not have a password.

See attached image.

I was on the telephone with EarthLink for 60 minutes on Sunday February 6, 2022. We attempted to change settings and went through other machinations so that I could access Thunderbird. Nothing worked. Can you offer any suggestions and help me so that I can use my Thunderbird email?

In the Thunderbird Support Forum I noticed that I am not the only person who has experienced this problem.

Thank you for your help and cooperation in this matter. I look forward to your response.

Try resetting the primary password (which will remove all account passwords stored in TB), restart TB, and enter the new Earthlink account password when prompted.
