I have thunderbird installed on my laptop and on my pc. I have a yahoo email account on laptop, several mobiles phones and a tablet, it works fine on everyone of them with the same password, but when I try to use the same yahoo account on thunderbird on my pc it will not accept the password, it just won't do it. If I uninstall thunderbird then re-install it yahoo will work with the correct password for about 1 minute then it tells me to re-enter the password, and then it tells me it's not the correct password. I have no problems adding gmail or other email accounts, just this one, so what's going on? This is driving me nuts.

Yahoo wants a separate password for PC-based email clients. I don't keep track, but this URL may be what you need.. https://help.yahoo.com/kb/SLN15241.html
