Firefox Sync
How is it possible to just lose all my bookmarks and all of my passwords just because I asked for a new password? Why there is no message that says " When you ask for a new password you will lose all your data"? Is there any other way to recover all my settings and bookmarks that I have stored?
It's unnacceptable to advertise that you are the bigest browser yet never had this issue on Chrome or any other browser! If there is no other way to recover all my data because I have also reinstalled my Windows, from scratch and I do not have the back-up locally, than, I will forever give up on this browser and will make sure that I tell everyone to stay clear of this browser!
Thank you and I await your response!

Hi Matei
If you use the change password feature, your data is retained, but if you use the forgotten password feature, your data that is in transit between copies of Firefox is deleted for your security and privacy.
Do you still have a copy of your data on your other copy of Firefox?
I do not have another copy of firefox nor do I know what you are referring to.
I have formated the ssd where I had firefox installed, as it was time to do a clean windows install.
Let me guess, If I ever lose my password or forget it, I guess I lose all my data. How is that a "top browser" service? I did the same thing with Chrome and guess what, I have all my data intact, I even did the same with the worst browser of them all which is Edge and guess what, I still have all my data intact! Did the same thing on those 2 browsers as it's been more than 2 years from my last windows reinstall, never imagined that I will have to keep the same password to keep my data, even this sentence doesn't make sense :))). So let's say I loose my password, what then? I can say goodbye to all my data just because I forgot a password?
I guess that I will never see my data again as you seem to not be able to assist me!...not your fault, of course, and they do not care about the people that use their services because it's free so they do not care enough..
Firefox Sync is not designed to be an online backup for use with only one copy of Firefox - it is designed to sync your data between copies of Firefox.
Did you take a backup of your Firefox profile before you formatted the SSD?
If you would have to reset the password for the Mozilla account because you do not remember this password, then that will remove all data stored on the Sync server. This is because this password is used to encrypt your data locally for security reasons before it is uploaded to the Sync server and only this password or a possible recovery key can decrypt this data.
Keep in mind that Sync isn't designed to be used as a backup, but merely is meant to sync data between connected devices. You can backup your personal data locally or generate and save a recovery key.
