Messages more than 30 days old have disappeared from my junk folder. I have not selected this option in settings. Where did they go? I usually get 5 to 10 junk messages a day but haven't seen any for 2 days. Where are they going?

Also, I have not sent any messages to the trash folder. My trash folder is indicating that there are an increasing number of unread messages in the folder. When I open the folder, there are no messages. Where are the messages going and how can I retrieve them.

Are you using IMAP? What is the retention period of junk with your chosen mail provider. Most of mine the provider deletes junk/spam after 14 days. But there is some variability provider to provider.

Yes, I'm using IMAP. I have 2 other devices sync'd to my PC. I only manage messages on the PC, never on the mobile devices. The retention time has never been an issue in the past. I would always manually delete messages in the junk folder, usually every 45 to 60 days.
