Why do i have two *.default-release folders in Thunderbird profiles? Same goes for two *.default folders. Can I delete one of the dupes, and so which one? Each pair has the same date, but a different prefix name.

  1. click help>troubleshootinginformation
  2. scroll down to 'profile folder' and click 'open folder'
  3. you are now in Windows file explorer (assuming you use windows) and the profile name should appear near top of screen. That is the profile you are using. all others can be safely deleted.
