I only have a few tabs open at any one time, usually only one or two. I only have adblock plus and bitwarden as extensions. But when I open firefox desktop, even before I've navigated to any page, it is using a few hundred MB to almost a GB of memory.

I have tried doing a Firefox refresh and restarting my computer. My firefox is up to date

Same here, Macbook air m1. Extremly laggy after opening 10 tabs.
