Web sites no longer have their 'skins,' the banners (not ads), background color, etc. How do I fix this?

Web sites no longer have their 'skins,' the background color, button colors, site banners, and so on. Page Style is set to Basic Page Style. I turned off AdBlock but that didn't change things

If you close Firefox, then start Firefox in Safe Mode, does the problem still occur? For instructions on starting in Safe Mode, see Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode.

Hi Chris,

Thanks for the suggestion. I tried the Safe Mode and I still get the same problem. I did not choose from the list of add-ons to diable ... I'll give that a try.

Okay, let's try something simple. Try clearing your cache. See How to clear the Firefox cache

Hi,

I should have reported my results after retrying the Safe Mode with addons blocked. I turned on Adblock when restarting and that solved the problem.

I'm still curious why it happened to begin with, especially since when I turned Adblock back on it removed the ads but didn't remove the skin.

Incompatibility between FF and Adblock? I dunno.
