I was looking for a trail map, and received a message that I should download ALOT first. I did so, without knowing what it was. I now want to get ride of it. I am using Windows 7 on my HP computer. I went in to the control panel and looked for ALOT on the uninstall programs list, but it wasn't there. Then I followed the instructions on ALOT help to uninstall. It told me goodbye and sorry I was leaving, but ALOT IS STILL ON MY SCREEN. How do I get rid of it?

Chosen solution

You can try "Reset all user preferences to Firefox defaults" on the Safe mode start window.

Thanks. I couldn't figure out how to follow your suggestion, but it led me to try changing my home page setting, which solved the problem.
