In FF 3 there was a popup indicator in the status bar that I could click to see what was blocked -- to see whether I want to allow it or not...

How can I do this in FF 4?

You should see an pop-up block icon at the right end of the location bar if pop-ups are blocked and the notification bar at the top is hidden.

I made sure that my add-on bar was on, and I'll see if I can catch it.

That pop-up block icon is no longer at the bottom of the browser (Add-ons bar, previously the Status bar), but now appears at the right end of the location bar.

Location bar = URL bar = Address bar = where website addresses are typed and displayed
