Why won't the mouse cursor come back?

When watching a Flash video in full screen mode from any web site, if I press esc to exit full screen mode the mouse cursor will not come back. I either have to close and restart firefox or press ctrl repeatedly to find the cursor and re-enter full screen mode and click the close or minimize button in the video's bar at the bottom. Running 3.6.16 on Windows XP. Thanks for the help.
