I closed a tab on accident(email) and I tried to go back and get all of the writing that was in it, and can't figure out how. It was only in the email that I'd typed it and need all of that information back. How can I get it back?

I was working on an e-mail to my teacher worth a lot. I closed the wrong tab and tried to re-open it with my work still there and it only opened a blank e-mail.

If the content of that email message didn't reappear if & when you used Undo Close Tab immediately after closing that tab, it is probably gone from Firefox. If you haven't closed Firefox yet, you can try using History and re-opening that email message tab, to see if it re-appears.

Some web mail software can be set to do periodic backups of a "message in progress", those backups would probably be saved to a "Drafts" folder. See if you have a "Drafts" folder in your web mail menu and see if that message or a part of that message is there.
