Desktop Feature in firefox for andriod

more options

I am using the Toshiba Thive tablet. When I go to a web site using Firefox it brings me to the mobile site. I DO NOT want this as I am on a 10.1 inch screen. In Dolphin Web Browser there is an option to choose Desktop. Is there an option in firefox or will there be one? Again it makes no sense to see a mobile version on a 10.1 inch tablet. I want the REAL website.

Thanks

Use the Phony extension. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/mobile/addon/phony/ it will add a section in the Preferences to change the user agent to desktop Firefox.

I do not see that in the andriod market. Does this work for tablets or just for the phone? Not sure how to install it on the tablet.

To install Phony, use Firefox on your tablet to visit this web page: https://addons.mozilla.org/mobile/addon/phony/

Or, open Firefox on your tablet, then go to the add-on manager and search for "Phony." For more instructions, see: Find and install extensions on Firefox for Android
