I want to submit a grant application at Pepsi refresh, however they recommend Firefox 3, 3.5 or 4 - not 3.6, which is what I'm using on my Mac 10.4.11. Can I download another version of Firefox so I can apply for this grant?

There is an extension called "User Agent Switcher". You can use that to send a fake user-agent to that site. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/user-agent-switcher/

Thanks. I'm not a geek and I don't really understand what this app will do. Can you explain?

You write: "they recommend"
That is not a requirement, so it may still work with your 3.6.x version.

Did you try if it works with your Firefox 3.6.x version?

If it works with all the listed versions then Firefox 3.6.x should be a problem and they may just have not updated the text to include that version.

If you want to add a new user-agent into User Agent Switcher, you go into preferences > New. Most of the blanks are filled in already, so just change the Mozilla revision number that will be at the end of the User Agent line. To fake 3.5.19, just change rv:1.9.2.19 to rv:1.9.1.19. For the description, put in "Firefox 3.5.19".
