My mother updated her Firefox accidentally and I can't figure out what version it is- and now I can't find the options button. Where is it?

The search bar is only visible when I hover my cursor over it, if that helps.

The Options button was (I think) provided by the extension MR Tech Toolkit. The latest non-beta version of that is not compatible with Firefox 6. There is a beta version which works, however, at http://mrte.ch/toolkit

You must have the browser in fullscreen mode? If so, you can toggle that mode with the F11 key.

Sounds to me too that you are in Full Screen mode.

  • Press F10 or tap the Alt key to bring up the "Menu Bar" temporarily if the Menu Bar is hidden.
  • Use "Firefox > Options" instead of "Tools > Options" if the menu bar is hidden.
