How can I get back to 3.6? Tried to "update" now I am shutdown

My Mac is on OS 4.11. I was very happy with Firefox 3.6. I downloaded an update without being aware that it is not supported by OS 4.11. This non working update shut me down. I tried to get back to 3.6 but does not allow it. Need help to get back to 3.6 Many thanks in advance. Hapsailor1
