Stop Autoplay is my favorite app on Firefox. It is no longer supported. Can I write a new version for Firefox?

Stop Autoplay was removed by the creator's request. I strongly dislike the autoplay feature on websites and would like to disable it on the new Firefox. Can I write an app to do this and offer it to other users? I haven't upgrade my version of Firefox because this app is no longer supported.

I found it! It's on the creator's website, but it's a 3-rd party addon, so someone out there must be updating it.

I found a version that the writer of the original app made, but I just reformatted my computer, so I lost it and now I can can't find it. He made it as an extension instead of a plugin. I still don't know why this isn't an option of Firefox itself, but until I can find the version I had, I can't even surf the web...

Unfortunately, that website no longer exists... I wish I would have known that before I reformatted my computer again... Now there is no source for Stop Autoplay... >_<

That extension was maintained by NettiCat (NC): https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/user/516763/

Here's Tubestop, for YouTube sites.

Appears to work fine, so far.
