After installing Firefox 8.0 will I be able to accept the Norton Toolbar add-0n or is it not supported by this version?

I just went to upgrade to Firefox 8.0 and a message appeared saying that Norton Toolbar isn't supported by this version of Firefox. Does this literally mean that it isn't supported or will I be able to accept it as an approved 3rd party add-on? If it isn't supported, do you have any plans to support it in the future?

Can you please explain the reason for downloading and installing the norton.com/nis12 and norton.com/nav12 downloads.

Unlike other applications, Norton doesn't seem to show the version number so I can't tell whether I'm using the 2012 version. All I know is that I renewed my annual subscription in October, but its crazy that I cannot find the version information.

Thanks, Swarnava. The link you provided in your second reply was exactly what I needed. I'm now upgraded and Norton toolbar is working.
