This morning as I typed into the search field "Panasonic" before I completed typing the word, a history of earlier typeins was listed and I was able to select from the list. Twenty minutes later when I tried to reproduce the search, I got a different set of options in the listbox. Not my history, but the google guess...Sorry this is a google question

Did you use the search bar on the about:home page the first time and were on the Google site the second time?

I may be a little thick but I am not sure what you mean by "about home page" and first and second time. Before yesterday here is how Google behaved... 1. I use Firefox and google is my home page. 2. I click on the Firefox icon and then begin typing into google 3. I had looked up panasonic telephones in the past 4. I type panasonic and press enter 5. I now have a list of panasonic sites with a search field on the top 6. I don't recall the model numbers of the two phone systems I own so I would begin typing panasonic and before I complete the word, the list box would be displayed with a history of my google choices. 7. I picked the model number I needed to order batteries and continued

Today, 1, 2 and 3 are the same 4. After typing panasonic a list box is displayed with panasonic options - NEW 5. I select the first entry and have a list of panasonic sites 6. Again, I don't recall the model numbers of the two phone systems I own so I would begin typing panasonic - This time before I complete the word, the list box would still be be displayed only with a list of panasonic models (similar to my home page search) 7. I forgot th model number so I had to search my history files

I hope this is clear
