Hi Alfred471,

Have you looked at the "Firefox is already running but is not responding" error - How to fix Knowledge Base article? It sounds from your description like this might be what you are experiencing. There can be a few reasons that you'll receive this message. That article will give you plenty of good troubleshooting steps to get back up and running.
