Hi Dinggo

ctrl+shift+T you can bring back the latest closed tab

see if this helps: The thumbnails on the new tab page are missing - how to get them back the "How to restore the website images on the New Tab page" session.

You can change the order of the boxes on the about:newtab page and drag them to a different position to pin them to that position or you can remove them by clicking the close X of an item to block them.
You can drag a bookmark or history item and drop them in a slot on the about:newtab page to pin them.
Changes are stored in the chromeappsstore.sqlite file in the Firefox Profile Folder under the pinnedLinks key and blockedLinks key.

If you delete the chromeappsstore.sqlite file in the Firefox Profile Folder to reset those keys then you need to reset the browser.startup.homepage_override.mstone pref via the right-click context menu to the default on the about:config page and close and restart Firefox to assure that the chromeappsstore.sqlite file gets initialized properly.
Otherwise the about:home might not be working.
