16.0.2 crashes with large file uploads

more options

Hi, I have noticed that Firefox 16.0.2 crashes when I try uploading a large file (1.2GB) to a website.

The entire browser closes and I get a window offering to submit a report for me. Can anybody tell me what I need to change to stop this from happening please?

Thanks,

Paul

Using Firefox on mac.... That isn't all. Firefox continues to gobble up memory until it is working so slow that I have to close it out and restart it. It crashes when it gobbles up 1.2G of memory or more and I try to close it. safari does not do this. Why does firefox?

Same here, except it's on Windows 7. Version 16.0.0 was ok, but since 16.0.2 was released the browser seems completely incapable of using Google Images without either crashing, or persistently freezing for 30 seconds.

Be sure to rollback to 16.0.1; the initial v16 update had serious security flaw.

The large file upload Firefox crash appears to persist as a problem.

A file upload of +- 800Mb crashes Firefox 18.0 reliably

For the same upload - IE - Chrome - Safari

and all work fine
