Can't get background tabs to load in FF 14, 15, & 16.

I have been unable to get any update since FF 13 to work right. When browsing, I frequently load a whole bunch of tabs, reading one page while the rest load in the background. This works fine in FF 13 and prior versions (I'm using FF 13, now. Works great! But is it still secure?) Also no new tabs will load after the initial load. Only rebooting the browser can get a new page to load (Pain in the butt! Would rather use FF 13!) *The "Don't load tabs until selected Box" in my Options is UNCHECKED! So its NOT that!* Only re-installing FF 13 and turning off the automatic updater fixes it thus far.

Do you have any (tab) extensions that may be causing this issue?

Are that normal tabs or pinned tabs?

Try to reload the web page(s) and bypass the cache to refresh possibly outdated or corrupted files if they aren't loading properly.

  • Press and hold Shift and left-click the Reload button.
  • Press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
  • Press "Command + Shift + R" (MAC)
