For some reason today, my flash plugin has stopped working. It first freezes my browser then crashes. I have uninstalled it and reinstalled it. I have downgraded to previous versions back to 10.3. I have disabled the plugin in the plugin section, and after that everything runs smoothly except for things that require flash. I also deleted the "pluginreg.dat" to refresh the plugins and it didn't work.

I'm including the last few crash reports so that maybe someone can help and fix this issue.

Hello,

The Reset Firefox feature can fix many issues by restoring Firefox to its factory default state while saving your essential information. Note: This will cause you to lose any Extensions, Open websites, and some Preferences.

To Reset Firefox do the following:

  1. Go to Firefox > Help > Troubleshooting Information.
  2. Click the "Reset Firefox" button.
  3. Firefox will close and reset. After Firefox is done, it will show a window with the information that is imported. Click Finish.
  4. Firefox will open with all factory defaults applied.

Further information can be found in the Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings article.

Did this fix your problems? Please report back to us!

Thank you.

thanks for the quick reply... this didn't help. it still had the same problem. But I did figure out the problem and fix it. It's one of those things that you spend 2hrs trying to fix, then as soon as you ask for help you fix it not needing any. For some reason it was actually not a firefox problem, it was an audio driver problem that was causing flash to inadvertently crash. Fixed that and now everything works again.

thanks.

Can you elaborate more on the fix with the audio driver?

I'm having the same issue with flash.
