Would there be an addon or a way to just manually add the pictures to my top sites (which are pinned because they're my bookmarks)? Also, would there be any addon to make a new row?

I've already read both articles "The thumbnails on the new tab page are missing - how to get them back" & "New Tab Page – show, hide and customize top sites".

You set the number of rows and columns that appear on the about:newtab page by modifying these prefs on the about:config page via a double-click.

  • browser.newtabpage.columns (3)
  • browser.newtabpage.rows (3)

The images are created from the cache, so if you have visited such a bookmarked site so it becomes a history item then you get a thumbnail.
