I always use gmail on Mozilla Firefox. My primary gmail account is my home page.

Received gmail fine up to end of day on January 22.

But this morning I was completely unable to access gmail primary acct. Initially, I was still able to get my recovery gmail account, but now that is gone, as well.

Was instructed to change password. Did this three or four times. Did not work.

Need you help to regain use of gmail on Firefox.

Everything still works fine on Internet Explorer.

Thank you,

Larry Lytle (919) 395-6107

Chosen solution

Clear the cache and cookies only from websites that cause problems.

"Clear the Cache":

  • Firefox/Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"

"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:

  • Firefox/Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window.
