Can the Add-on bar be not shown by default?
When I open a new page, with CMD-N, the new page opens with the Add-on Bar at the bottom of the window. Now I know this is easy to remove with a key combination, but it gets to be a big nuisance; and I need all the open space when I'm on my 11" Macbook Air. There must be a default setting so that new windows do not contain the Add-on Bar (like it used to be). Any help would be appreciated.
I am using Firefox 27 on a 11" Macbook Air (and a 15" Macbook Pro with the same result) using Mavericks 10.9 OS. I have 'Tab Mix Plus' installed also.

Do you have any extensions installed that place information on the Add-on Bar?
You can also check for problems caused by a corrupted localstore.rdf file.

The problem was the extension ReminderFox. As I was checking on this a new version became available (2.1.4.2) which solves the problem. Now new pages do not have the Add-on Bar showing by default.
