I have a web page I want to save in My documents\xxx. I click on firefox. then click on Save Page as, My Documents comes. I click on file "xxx" and click on Save. When I go back to My Documents and click on file "xxx" and Save with the title of subject web page, I get Mozilla Start Page.

It is possible to change you save as dialogue with this add on called Save File To where it will ask you to select where to save before.

If not you can change the setting in the about:config page and look for the attribute: "browser.download.lastDir.savePerSite"

Detailed instructions on how to do this is referenced in this previous question
