TB "main" account does not work (everyday works)

my "main" account on Xfinity stopped working around 9/24/2024 when I tried to use TB to log onto it... says something about login failure (imap); security concerns ... goes away too fast. Called Xfinity and they said all ok... but, made me change pwd and try their web page to link to account emails .. all showed OK... they suggested contacting TB .... the last email in my file is dated back in May... may be last time accessed. I have a "standard" email account where I do most of my daily email... that still works fine... I did not want to unload/reload TB since that still works & I use every day. HELP!!!

I used my email always password protection but i seen some how i didn't sign in and press the cancel button and i see the mail open. i again try and same result. so what is reason to use password protection option ? confusing.

but TB is incapable of sending email. Either I got dialog https://software9119.technology/__other/tb/dialog.png or error https://software9119.technology/__other/tb/timed-out.png.

I tried cleaning cache and made some re+/search with no avail. There seems to exist some Authenticated SMTP but this is only available on Exchange 365 while this is my personal Outlook.com account.

I have had two Gmail accounts on Tbird for about a year with no problems. Now I get unpredictable or no results trying to send or receive messages from the newer account. A message mentioning unsuccessful server authentification is the most common. "we have sent your message but not mentioned it in the "sent" folder due to connectivity problems" also occurs. I have absolutely no problem on iOS mail or Tbird running on MacOS. To the extent that I can decipher the iOS settings, there is no difference.
