Firefox won't upload attachments and doesn't send all emails with the outlook web app.
Hello,
I've recently updated to Firefox 36.0, and since then (or around that time), my Outlook Web App stopped working properly. Some emails I can send, some I can't, even with one and the same recipient email address. I also cannot upload attachments, and sometimes there are problems downloading attachments. The error message for when I cannot send emails says there is a problem with the connection, and the error meassages for updates says that there is a configuration problem on the server. I have this problem in several WiFi and Lan-cable connections, but with Internet Explorer everything works fine. My laptop runs on Windows 7.
I've un-installed and re-installed Firefox. I've emptied my cache and deleted all history. I've removed Firefox from the list of allowed programmes from my firewall, and then put it back on the list again. I've checked my plug-ins for updates. None of this has helped.
Any advise would be much appreciated.

Please check your antivirus or Firewall to make sure that Firefox can make connections to download and upload files.
If this does not help, please also contact Microsoft support.
I haven't noticed any issues with OWA but I don't use it heavily.
To try to diagnose whether this is a settings issue, could you do this 5-minute test:
Create a new Firefox profile
A new profile will have your system-installed plugins (e.g., Flash) and extensions (e.g., security suite toolbars), but no themes, other extensions, or other customizations. It also should come with completely fresh settings databases and a fresh cache folder.
Exit Firefox and start up in the Profile Manager using Start > search box (or Run):
firefox.exe -P
Don't delete anything here.
Any time you want to switch profiles, exit Firefox and return to this dialog.
Click the Create Profile button, assign a name like March10, and ignore the option to change the folder location. Then start Firefox in the new profile you created.
Can you use OWA normally in the new profile?
If so, it sounds like a settings problem, which could be due to preferences or extensions, or perhaps a corrupted file somewhere.
If not, either it is Firefox or an external program that affects your browsing (filter, proxy, etc.).
When returning to the Profile Manager to switch back to your normal profile, you might be tempted to use the Delete Profile button. But... it's a bit too easy to accidentally delete your "real" profile, so I recommend resisting the temptation. If you do want to clean up later, I suggest making a backup of all your profiles first in case something were to go wrong.
Could you let us know the result?
Thanks for all the advice. I had already checked my firewall and antivirus as instructed on the Mozilla help pages - no difference. Now I finally got around to trying a new profile - same thing, no difference.
In the meantime, I've also encountered this problem on another machine (Windows 7 as well), so it doesn't seem to be a problem related my laptop or my firefox set-up.
If anyone else has a suggestion, I'd be happy to hear about it.
One other thought before suggesting checking with Microsoft on those errors: try the No Proxy connection setting here to see whether it makes any difference:
"3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Options > Advanced > Network mini-tab > "Settings" button
Unfortunately, the "no proxy" setting didn't change anything. The problem is totally random and happens on all kinds of computers, so I think it's something that's gone wrong with the organisations' settings, not with Firefox.
Thanks for all the help though!
