On the main page of Thunderbird the exit, minimize and shrink buttons are missing. This happened after the calendar option was provided.

Tools menu *alt+T) > options> Advanced > general and disable hardware acceleration. Does that help at all?

Matt, there is not an option choice under tools in Thunderbird. I did this in Firefox and it did not work.

Ok, try Thunderbird > preferences. I wish mac users would announce themselves as such. It would save so much confusion.

This is for my information. On the right of the toolbar there is a three bar icon which opens a menu. Does that have a tools entry and does that have an options. I do not know as I have never even seen a copy of OSX running, let alone used it.

Edit|Preferences, maybe. You're using a Mac, right?
