Is there some way to save login names WITHOUT passwords anymore? Previously it was possible, but seems to have gone in the latest update to Fireox.

I don't want my passwords saved anywhere except my brain. Does anyone know if it's possible to save ONLY the login name but NOT the associated password for websites that require sign-ons? The option in Privacy and Security settings only allows for both or neither to be saved - there's no "save login only" option.

Sorry, that has never been a default feature in Firefox. You may have had a legacy extension in the past that added that feature to Firefox and that extension is not compatible with the WebExtensions format, so it's not available for Quantum..

In a long past it was possible to save the name with the Password Manager disabled as saved form data, but that is no longer possible.

Go to the Mozilla Add-ons Web Page {web Link} (There’s a lot of good stuff here) and search for a form filling add-on.
