How to open home page in current tab instead in a new tab
How to open home page in current tab instead in a new tab?

The original idea of a pinned tab was to be an "App Tab" and keep a particular site always available. You actually can change the site through the address bar, but not through the Home button or a bookmark. Oddly inconsistent. But I don't see a setting to change how it works.
Why are you using a pinned tab?

This works when the tab has not been pined. How about if the tab was pined?
Did you set a Homepage? Also you should be able to make settings when opening new page to go the save Homepage. Pinned works just fine for me to go homepage otherwise you get the default firefox install page.

I'd like to bring this up again as I see no solution above.
I'd like to open a new tab OR a new page with the same page I'm looking at. Just like Safari does. Is this possible?
BTW, I'm new to FF and have no clue what a pinned thing is.

Hi Larryo, when you say --

-- I think you are referring to duplicating the current tab.
It is easy to duplicate the current tab to a new (adjacent) tab: right-click the tab and click Duplicate tab.
Getting that tab into a new window would be a separate step. You can click and drag the tab down over the main toolbar and then release and Firefox will "detach" that tab to its own window.
Is that roughly what you had in mind?
