Have a Samsung Tab A and Galaxy S8 and I don't have the option to turn on "Recommended by Pocket", which works just fine on my PC. Samsung says it's not them!
I like Recommended by Pocket! Have tried on and off to access it on my Samsung Galaxy S 8. Just bought a Samsung Tab A 8". Can't access the option to turn it on there either. Thought it was because it was a mobile browser, but the button under Top Sites is there on a non-Samsung phone. Long chat with Samsung this AM. They say they are NOT blocking this option and to contact Firefox. Tab is model SM-T290 running Android version 9, Wifi only. Firefox is version 68.2.0. Phone is Galaxy S 8 SM-G950W running Android version 9. Firefox version 68.2.0. Anyone have any ideas.

Seburo was a little imprecise when they mentioned geography. The most likely reason is that Pocket depends on the language that the phone and/or Firefox for Android is set to.
If you have your phone set to English (Canada) <en-CA> then Pocket stories will not appear. If you don't want to change the whole phone's language you can set Firefox to English (United States) <en-US> with the downside that you will miss out in a few 'u's in Firefox's interface and may get directed to United States websites over Canadian ones. amazon.com instead of amazon.ca for example.

Hi
If you open Firefox for Android, open the menu and select Settings, under the General option you should see Home. When you select Top Sites, you should see an option to select Recommended by Pocket...?
Thanks but no. No button. Not on the Galaxy S8, not on the Tab A. It is there on a non-samsung phone (not mine). I know what I'm looking for, it's just not there. Under Top Sites I get:
Set as default Show Change order Additional content Recent Bookmarks (on) Visited (on)
And that is it all there is.
Tried adding browser.newtabpage.activity-stream.feeds.section.topstories true to the config file. Also extensions.pocket.enabled true (both recommended elsewhere here, but for a linux machine. Figured it was worth a try :-)) Didn't work. Didn't break the app. Shut off/Started after each. Anything else I might do? Any ideas what's going on here? Am I the only one with this problem?
Hi
I appreciate that this is a bit of an odd question, but whereabouts in the world are you based?
I think this may be less about the device and more about geography.
Hi. I'm in British Columbia, Canada. Recommended by Pocket works perfectly on my PC and on my housemates Blackberry/Android phone. His Blackberry/Android phone and my Samsung/Android phone are both on the same Telus Account so the only difference there is the Blackberry part. Both phones and the PC and the tablet are all on xplornet wifi, and like I said, Recommended by Pocket works flawlessly on his Blackberry/Android and my PC. So, no, unfortunately, not geography related. The Telus and xplornet accounts are both registered with the same BC address, and we can be sitting side by side and Recommended by Pocket on the Blackberry/Android and the PC work and on the 2 Samsung devices doesn't.

Darn. Seems I didn't hit post when I typed my reply the first time. Thanks so very much. I would never have guessed that Firefox would care which version of English I chose, in fact I don't remember even choosing Canadian English. I know I used to carefully do that on the PC, 15 or so years ago, but the u's used to matter. Now I leave 'em out or put 'em in sort of randomly. And I'm fairly adept at changing amazon.com to amazon.ca. Thanks, thanks, thanks. An annoying, niggling frustration is finally ended. Thanks again. And again! Etc.
I have the opposite problem. I want to disable Pocket and the other honepsge stuff (popular sites, etc.), but i don't see a way to do it.
