Norton Securtity Tool bar is not compatible to Firefox 4, how can I downgrade back to an earlier Firefox so that it works!?
My Norton Security toolbar protects my browsing, saves all my logins and autofills my details into forms - in short, if I can't use it then I don't want to use Firefox 4! Are there any plans to fix this or can anyone tell me how I can downgrade to the old firefox which worked perfectly.

Symantec are planning to release an update in the next few days, for details see http://community.norton.com/t5/Norton-Internet-Security-Norton/Norton-product-compatibility-with-Firefox-Updates/m-p/443808
To downgrade to Firefox 3.6 first uninstall Firefox 4, but do not select the option to "Remove my Firefox personal data". If you select that option it will delete your bookmarks, passwords and other user data.
You can then install the latest version of Firefox 3.6 available from http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html - it will automatically use your current bookmarks, passwords etc.
To avoid possible problems with downgrading, I recommend going to your profile folder and deleting the following files if they exist - extensions.cache, extensions.rdf, extensions.ini, extensions.sqlite and localstore.rdf. Deleting these files will force Firefox to rebuild the list of installed extensions, checking their compatibility, and reset toolbar customizations.
For details of how to find your profile folder see https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Profiles
Brilliant, thank you!!
Tony, i also want to go back to a previous ver of firefox because i want to control cookies. have del ver 4 from computer and installed first ver 3.6.16 and then ver 3.10 i think but it still has ver 4 control of cookies. Can you help? I now have ver 3.6.16 running on win 7 machine with the old cookies settings but when i try to copy it to my xp machine it reverts to the ver 4 cookies, the rest seems to be ver3.6.16. Installing new ver 3.3.17 from d/l as shown from previous post and it still has no control of cookies. what am i missing?
FIREFOX 4 is NO GOOD for Norton anything! I had to delete firefox completely and then RE download 3.16 and then had to enter ALL my Norton passcodes over. Until this dilemma is resolved I'm sticking with the OLD version. Went out TOO SOON!!! Too much of my downloads/saves/personal "stuff" got LOST in the new upload. The OLD is MUCH BETTER!
