How do I change the Cache location for Firefox 13? I did the whole browser.cache.disk.parent_directory but the folder I specified still says its empty.
I created a folder and specified the file path in Aboug:Config to my data drive and NOT my ssd. But when I go to the folder its empty and when I go to about:cache the directory is still in C drive. How do I change this?

Which cache folder and what cache usage do you see on the about:cache page?
What exactly did you enter on the about:config page?
Maybe attach a screenshot of that setting.

in the About:cache under cache directory I see: C:\Users\Owner\AppData\Local\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\ylsryvx1.default\OfflineCache
in the About:config I see browser.cache.disk.parent_directory and the folder is just something I created: D:\Firefox\FF Cache I also tried typing in D:\\Firefox\\FF Cache but that didn't help either.
I've restarted both my computer and my browser.
Maybe try to use a folder name without spaces.
Did you close and restart Firefox and made sure that the folder exists?
You can also try to remove the old cache folder on the C drive in AppData\Local\.
Changed the folder name to one without spaces, restarted firefox, and I made sure that the folder exists, only thing I haven't done is delete the old cache folder in appdata
I just deleted the folder C:\Users\Owner\AppData\Local\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\ylsryvx1.default\OfflineCache
but it just came back
Can you post the line as you see it in the prefs.js file?
Okay so this is what I just did and it worked to an extent, I uninstalled firefox from my SSD and put it on my standard HDD and repeated the browser.cache.disk.parent_directory method, I put the cache files in my firefox install folder, the problem is that when I go to about:cache my cache directory is in my data drive but my offline cache is still in my SSD how do I put the offline in the data drive too, and exactly what is the offline cache.
Oh never mind I just disabled offline cache in about config, by setting it to false
