How to keep the developer tools opened?

Hi. I'm using Firefox 31. I can toggle the developer tools by Ctrl+Shift+I. But this only opens it on the current tab. If I switch to another tab, or open a new tab from the current tab, the developer tools is closed. I remember that for Firebug it keeps opened for all tabs.

My question is if there is option to keep the developer tools opened always (even after reboot)? This is useful for

1) developing addon: after reboot Firefox, no need to Ctrl+Shift+I again and again.; 2) debug multiple links in the current page.

Thanks!

You can break the tool out of the page by clicking on the Web Console, then the far right icon "Doc" in current window. However it will only stay open for that page.

Currently there is not option to start up with developer tools open but there is a start up with the command line to open console: https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/d.../Command_Line_Options#-console

firefox.exe -console

Run that from the command line.
