I see when I download a file with Firefox's built-in downloader, it cannot utilize the full speed of my internet connection. In fact, it downloads THREE TIMES SLOWER than the full potential of my connection. Downloading in multiple threads may solve this. I know there are a few download managers available for android, but I will be glad if Firefox supports this.

No plans for this. We are in the process of integrating with the Android system downloader so if the other apps integrate with the system downloader it may just work.
