My Backup Bookmarks will not import now that I have restarted Firefox
My firefox went wonky so I "refreshed", deleting all addon, cookies, etc, assuming it would fix the problem. Just in case I decided to manually back up my bookmarks, you have no idea how many I have, years of research is on there. sigh. Any way, Firefox loaded up all fresh and clean and I went to bookmarks/ import and backup tab / restore / choose file and chose the file bookmarks-2015-02-22.json and it said "This will replace all of your current bookmarks with the backup. Are you sure?" Yes I am sure, so I clicked OK, then a popup with 'Unable to process the backup file' appeared. I also tried the same route but instead of my manual backup file, I tried a few of the past automatic files and the same thing occurred. I need my bookmarks. Someone please help me. I back upped on firefox and I am trying to Import back into firefox. I use no other web engines. Running on windows 7, Firefox 35.0.1

So I closed out of firefox and reopened it and now everything is there. my bookmarks, addons, bookmark toolbar. Its as if the refresh never happened. I dont know what to do
If you get 'Unable to process the backup file' then there is usuallya problem with the current places.sqlite file.
When you reset Firefox then a new profile is created and some personal data (bookmarks, history, cookies, passwords, form data) is automatically imported and the current profile folder will be moved to the desktop to an "Old Firefox Data" folder. Installed extensions and other customizations (toolbars, prefs) that you have made are lost and need to be redone.
In what way did Firefox behave 'wonky'?
You can check for problems with the places.sqlite database file in the Firefox profile folder.
