How can I get my email without entering a password every time?
It seems that now I must enter my email account password every time I go to use Tbird to download my email. Previous to this problem, two things: 1) My email account had been compromised, so I changed that password with my ISP.
2)I tried using a master password in Tbird 's Options > Security , and found it to be a pain. So I decided I didn't want to use a master password anymore, and wanted to go back to the way my email downloads worked before, so I unchecked the Master Password.
The Options > Security password keeper is populated by several email addresses and passwords. I want to keep those intact--but should I want to make changes to the master password, or delete it, the instructions say that all the passwords will be lost. Do I need these in this place? I find that things don't work at all if I delete them from the keeper.
I am still getting prompts to enter a password, when I go to use Tbird--for my ISP password, as it turns out, not for my master password. I am confused, and just want it to go back to being easy.

I don't know what instructions you're talking about, but I don't think that's correct. See http://kb.mozillazine.org/Master_password#Removing_your_master_password

When you get the password prompt there is a checkbox to remember the password.
