Hi, please see if this helps - Profile Manager - Create, remove or switch Firefox profiles.

If your question is resolved by this or another answer, please take a minute to let us know. Thank you.

Firefox uses two locations for the Firefox profile folder, so do not get confused. The main profile is in "AppData\Roaming".

  • C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\<profile>\
  • Help > Troubleshooting Information > Profile Directory: Show Folder (Linux: Open Directory; Mac: Show in Finder)

A second location in "AppData\Local" is used for the disk cache and other temporary files (see about:cache).

  • C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Local\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\<profile>\

@cor-el yes that would be it, so how do I reduce size of both of them? I have now in each over 500MB, I want it to be around 250MB per each.

You can check the content of files and folder in the main profile to see what files are causing that much memory. If you have used this profile for a very long time then you may still have file that are no longer being used. You can also check the bookmarkbackups folder to see how much space the compressed .jsonlz4 are taken.

You can check the cache usage on the about:cache page and possibly set a lower maximum.
