I've tried both enabling and disabling both cookies and cache. I even tried to enter www.google.com as an allowed site in the privacy settings. This all started when we tried to add another laptop computer in our home to our wifi verizon service. We don't use any other devices.

Could you describe the problem in more detail? For example, are you getting a specific error message from Firefox or from Google? Et cetera.
