When I am trying to login to a public wifi hotspot, say like at a hotel, Firefox is preventing the redirect to the wifi login page associated with that particular access point. Firefox is throwing "Your connection is not secure" error with the following The owner of www.anysite.com has configured their website improperly. I would imagine this is happening because when I start Firefox it wants to go to my homepage, however, the wifi access point want me to be redirected to the login page. Without the redirect, I cannot login to the wifi and get access to the internet. How do I correct this? This only started with latest Firefox update.

This has nothing to do with my security settings. This happens when I launch Firefox in order to login to a public wifi hotspot, like at a hotel. Firefox wants to go to www.abc.com but the wifi wants to redirect to the wifi login page. Firefox is looking for a certificate for www.abc.com but receives the certificate for xyz.wayport.net. This only began happening with the latest Firefox updates.

The following information is displayed in Firefox:

Your connection is not secure

The owner of www.abc.com has configured their website improperly. To protect your information from being stolen, Firefox has not connected to this website.

This site uses HTTP Strict Transport Security (HSTS) to specify that Firefox only connect to it securely. As a result, it is not possible to add an exception for this certificate.

www.abc.com uses an invalid security certificate.

The certificate is only valid for xyz.wayport.net

Error code: SSL_ERROR_BAD_CERT_DOMAIN
