Opening link in new tab switches to it immediately even though 'When I open a link in a new tab, switch to it immediately' box is unchecked

When I open a link in a new tab (by right-clicking and selecting 'Open in a new tab) Firefox switches to it immediately even though under Options\General the checkbox for 'When I open a link in a new tab, switch to it immediately' is unchecked. This is a bug. Please fix! I am running Firefox 47.0.1 on Windows7 Professional with full admin rights on a 32-bit platform.

Are you using any Tabs related Extensions in Firefox?

Does this also happen when you middle-click the link with the mouse scroll wheel?

more options

Yes, when I click on a link with the middle mouse button (the scroll wheel) it opens a new tab and goes to it instantly.

As to tab-related add-ons, the only one I can think of that I'm using is Classic Theme Restorer 1.5.4.2.
